Sales Manager - Leisure
Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing / Director of Leisure Sales
Job Summary:
The Sales Manager for Leisure is responsible for driving transient leisure revenue through strategic partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies (both retail and online), consortia, and luxury travel advisors. This role focuses on promoting the hotel to the FIT (Free Independent Traveler) and leisure group market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage productive relationships with key leisure partners, including tour operators, wholesalers, online travel agencies (OTAs), destination management companies (DMCs), and high-end travel advisors.
- Negotiate and manage allotments, rates, and contracts with leisure partners.
- Create and promote attractive packages and promotions tailored to the leisure market.
- Participate in travel trade shows, sales missions, and familiarization (FAM) trips to generate awareness and demand.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Revenue Management teams to ensure competitive positioning and effective promotional campaigns.
- Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify new leisure opportunities.
- Achieve agreed-upon revenue targets for the leisure segment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in leisure sales, travel trade sales, or hotel revenue management.
- Strong existing network within the travel trade industry is a significant advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of global travel distribution channels and market trends.
- Dynamic, creative, and results-oriented with strong communication skills.
