Position Summary:
The Sales Executive for Food & Beverage is a dynamic and results-driven professional responsible for generating revenue through the proactive sales of banquet events, catering services, restaurant private dining, and other F&B offerings. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and achieving individual and team sales targets to maximize the profitability of the F&B outlets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development & Prospecting:
- Identify, qualify, and generate new business leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital channels.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients (corporate, social, travel trade, etc.).
- Conduct market research to identify trends and new sales opportunities.
- Client Relationship & Sales Management:
- Conduct client meetings, site inspections, and presentations to showcase F&B venues and services.
- Prepare and present detailed, compelling proposals and contracts for events (weddings, conferences, galas, meetings).
- Negotiate terms and close sales to meet and exceed revenue goals.
- Maintain an organized database of clients, leads, and activities using the company's CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Event Coordination & Account Management:
- Act as the primary liaison for clients during the initial sales process, ensuring a smooth handover to the operations/event planning team.
- Work closely with the culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure client specifications are understood and feasible.
- Follow up with clients post-event to ensure satisfaction and secure future business.
- Revenue & Administrative Duties:
- Prepare weekly action plans, sales forecasts, and reports for management.
- Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, and offerings.
- Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and promotional events.
- Adhere to the departmental budget and sales strategy.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the hotel F&B, catering, or event sales industry.
- Skills:
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking abilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of food, beverage, and event trends.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel locally for client meetings and events.
- May require working outside standard business hours for events and client entertainment.
