Head Waiter
Reports to: Supervisor / Assistant Restaurant Manager
Job Overview:
The Head Waiter is a senior service role, acting as a team leader for waitstaff on a section or shift. You exemplify the highest service standards, guide junior servers, and ensure an exceptional guest experience in your area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert, polished tableside service to guests.
- Mentor and guide Waiters/Waitresses and Runners in your section.
- Take charge of key tables or large reservations.
- Demonstrate extensive menu and beverage knowledge, making expert recommendations.
- Assist in coordinating food delivery and managing table turns.
- Handle guest inquiries and requests with a high degree of professionalism.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cash handling and reconciliation for the section.
Requirements:
- Significant experience as a Waiter/Waitress in an upscale or high-volume restaurant.
- Natural leadership abilities and a team-first attitude.
- Exceptional product knowledge and service techniques.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
