Assistant Restaurant Manager
Reports to: Restaurant Manager / General Manager
Job Overview:
The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of the business, including operations, financial performance, staff management, and guest satisfaction. You are a key leader in driving the restaurant's success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate front-of-house staff.
- Uphold and enforce all company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and support in achieving financial targets.
- Resolve complex guest complaints and ensure complete guest satisfaction.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and provide performance feedback to the team.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Assume full responsibility for the restaurant in the Restaurant Manager's absence.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume or upscale environment.
- Strong financial acumen (P&L, cost control, inventory management).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop a team.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Degree in Hospitality Management or related field is a plus.
