Job Title: Housekeeping Attendant / Room Attendant

Position Summary:
The Housekeeping Attendant is essential to creating a positive guest experience by ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and visual appeal. This role requires a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Room Cleaning:
- Clean and service assigned guest rooms according to established standards and procedures.
- Duties include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing amenities, and removing trash and used linens.
- Ensure all appliances are functioning and report any maintenance issues or damages.
- Replace guest room supplies (e.g., toiletries, coffee, literature).
- Quality & Inspection:
- Perform cleaning duties efficiently and to the quality standards set by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Ensure lost and found items are reported and turned in immediately.
- Adhere to safety and security protocols, including the proper handling of guest property and master keys.
- Public Areas & Team Support:
- Assist in cleaning public areas as needed (e.g., corridors, elevators, lobbies).
- Restock housekeeping cart and linen closet at the end of each shift.
- Respond promptly to guest requests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other departments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or similar environment is an asset but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management skills to complete rooms within allotted timeframes.
- High level of attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weight (e.g., linen carts, mattresses).
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
- Positive attitude and a team player mentality.
- Reliability, honesty, and a strong work ethic.
