Barista
Reports to: Restaurant Supervisor / Head Waiter
Job Overview:
The Barista is the heart of our beverage service, responsible for crafting high-quality hot and cold drinks, particularly specializing in Arabic coffee, traditional teas, and modern coffee selections. You will ensure the beverage station is impeccably maintained and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages with speed, consistency, and artistry.
- Expertly prepare traditional Arabic coffee (Gahwa) and other regional specialty drinks.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of coffee, tea, syrups, and other supplies.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable interaction with guests, suggesting beverages as appropriate.
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system.
- Follow all opening and closing procedures for the bar area.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Barista in a café or restaurant.
- Knowledge of coffee beans, grind, and brewing methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent personal presentation and communication skills.
- A team player with a positive attitude.
