Job Summary:
The Barista is an artist and brand ambassador responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and other specialty beverages. This role requires a passion for coffee, precision, and creating a welcoming experience for every guest at the coffee counter.
Key Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation: Expertly prepare and present a wide range of espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to strict recipes and standards.
- Coffee Knowledge: Maintain deep knowledge of coffee origins, blends, brewing methods, and flavor profiles. Educate guests when appropriate.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, engaging, and efficient service at the coffee bar, handling transactions via POS.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate, clean, and maintain all coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders) to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of coffee, syrups, milk, and other supplies, reporting needs to the supervisor.
- Cleanliness: Ensure the coffee station and surrounding area are kept impeccably clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
- Menu Compliance: Follow all recipes and presentation guidelines for both beverages and any accompanying food items (pastries, snacks).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Barista in a specialty coffee environment.
- Extensive knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and latte art skills.
- Customer-oriented with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work quickly and consistently under pressure.
- Basic English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage for guest interaction.
