Mason / Shuttering Carpenter

Position: Mason / Shuttering Carpenter
Monthly Salary: 700 Euro
Reports to: Foreman / Site Supervisor
Core Responsibilities:
A. Masonry Duties:
Construct and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and natural stones.
Lay foundations, align structures using levels and measuring tools, and apply mortar.
Cut and shape materials to fit around obstacles or in corners.
Ensure structures are level, plumb, and square.
B. Shuttering (Formwork) Carpentry Duties:
Build and install wooden or metal formwork (shuttering) to hold wet concrete in place until it sets.
Read and interpret formwork drawings to construct molds for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and other concrete elements.
Assemble, brace, and align formwork securely to withstand the pressure of poured concrete.
Strip (dismantle) formwork safely after the concrete has cured sufficiently.
Clean, repair, and maintain formwork panels and accessories for reuse.
General Site Duties:
Work closely with other tradespeople and follow the instructions of the site supervisor.
Strictly adhere to all site safety regulations, especially when working at height or with heavy materials.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
Candidate Profile:
Solid experience as a Mason, Shuttering Carpenter, or a combined role.
Expertise in both brickwork/blockwork and constructing concrete formwork.
Ability to read and work from construction drawings.
Good understanding of geometry and measurements.
Physical strength, stamina, and a keen eye for detail.
