About the Role
We are a major contracting company operating in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, analysis, and decision-making to support our strategic growth and project excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Evaluate the financial performance of ongoing projects, including cost tracking, profitability analysis, and cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting financial status, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support planning, valuation, and scenario analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of project tenders and bids from a financial perspective.
- Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to ensure accurate project costing and financial control.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and relevant regulations.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects as required.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) is a strong plus.
- Experience: A minimum of 5+ years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience within contracting, construction, or engineering companies is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and financial software/ERP systems (experience with Oracle, SAP, or similar is advantageous).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
