Restaurant Supervisor

Job Overview:
The Restaurant Supervisor is a hands-on leader who supports the Restaurant Manager in daily operations. You will direct the floor staff during shifts, ensure exemplary service standards are met, and act as the point of contact for guests and team members. This role is critical for maintaining smooth service flow and upholding our quality promise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Shift Management & Operations:
- Supervise and coordinate all activities during assigned shifts (lunch, dinner, weekends).
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Assign sections and duties to service staff, managing floor rotation and breaks.
- Monitor dining room ambiance, including music, lighting, and overall cleanliness.
- Ensure all service stations are fully stocked and organized.
2. Guest Service & Standards:
- Greet and welcome guests, escort them to tables, and ensure a positive first impression.
- Circulate the dining room regularly, checking on guest satisfaction and addressing needs promptly.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints at the moment, escalating to the Manager when necessary.
- Train and motivate staff on upselling techniques and menu knowledge.
- Ensure all team members adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
3. Team Support & Training:
- Assist in training new hires on service procedures, POS systems, and product knowledge.
- Provide real-time coaching and feedback to servers and hosts to improve performance.
- Support the Manager in administrative tasks like scheduling and inventory counts.
- Maintain high team morale and professionalism on the floor.
4. Quality & Compliance Control:
- Check food presentation and quality before it leaves the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, hygiene, and sanitation protocols during the shift.
- Supervise cash handling procedures and ensure accurate reconciliation of server check-outs.
- Report any maintenance issues or equipment failures immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Hospitality or relevant field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the restaurant industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of fine dining or upscale casual service standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Proficient in restaurant POS systems and basic computer skills.
- Customer-focused with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Good command of English (spoken and written); Arabic is highly preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
