Senior Estimator

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for large-scale building construction projects in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for tender submissions, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand full project scope.
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs from drawings and BOQs.
- Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project details and assumptions.
- Prepare and present detailed analytical reports on cost factors, risks, and value engineering opportunities.
- Review and compare post-tender documents and participate in final negotiations.
- Maintain and update cost databases and historical data for future reference.
- Mentor and guide junior estimating staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in estimation specifically within the UAE building construction sector (high-rise, residential, commercial, mixed-use).
- In-depth knowledge of local market rates, materials, and construction methodologies.
- Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, WinEst, PlanSwift) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of FIDIC and local contract conditions.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
