About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive MEP Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in the successful delivery of high-quality interior fit-out projects. You will be responsible for overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing aspects from design coordination through to site execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning & Coordination:
- Review and coordinate MEP services with architectural and civil works.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules for MEP activities.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors.
- Design & Documentation Management:
- Thoroughly review MEP drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bills of Quantities).
- Identify and resolve clashes in services coordination.
- Prepare shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements as required.
- Site Execution & Supervision:
- Lead on-site MEP installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure work complies with approved drawings and quality standards.
- Conduct daily site inspections, ensuring safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Monitor progress and proactively solve technical challenges on-site.
- Quality & Compliance Control:
- Ensure all MEP works meet local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA, Civil Defense) and project specifications.
- Manage material inspections and approvals.
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and as-built drawings.
- Team & Client Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of site supervisors and technicians.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to report on progress and address issues.
- Ensure a smooth handover process, including snagging and commissioning documentation.
Requirements & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in MEP fit-out projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, or retail).
- Strong background in site execution, supervision, and quality control.
- Solid experience in coordinating MEP works with ongoing civil/architectural activities.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent understanding of MEP systems, drawings, and BOQs.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software is a plus.
- Knowledge of UAE authority regulations and approval procedures.
- Personal Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid UAE driving license is preferred.
