About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled Chiller Technician to join our maintenance division. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of centrifugal, screw, and reciprocating chillers. You will ensure that all cooling systems operate efficiently and safely to meet the cooling requirements of our facilities in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on chiller systems, including oil changes, filter replacements, and refrigerant top-ups.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in chiller units and HVAC systems.
- Overhaul compressors, motors, and pumps as necessary.
- Monitor and adjust system controls to maintain optimal temperature and pressure levels.
- Conduct performance tests and analyze data to ensure systems are running at peak efficiency.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, parts used, and service reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations regarding refrigerant handling.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in HVAC / Refrigeration or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with industrial chillers (Carrier, York, Trane, Daikin, etc.) in the Gulf region.
- Must have a valid UAE driving license (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, control panels, and refrigeration cycles.
- Experience with CFC/HCFC refrigerants and handling procedures.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Physically fit and able to work in outdoor/plant room environments.
