Job Title: Dishwasher
Job Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen utensils, dishes, and equipment. This role supports kitchen operations by ensuring a steady supply of clean items and assisting with basic cleaning duties in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning & Sanitation:
- Wash dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, and pans using dishwashing machines or by hand
- Ensure all items are cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including floors, sinks, and workstations
- Dispose of waste and garbage in accordance with hygiene standards
Kitchen Support:
- Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation tasks when required
- Keep dishwashing area organized and free of clutter
- Refill cleaning supplies and notify supervisors of shortages
Equipment Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment safely
- Report any malfunction or maintenance issues promptly
Requirements:
- No formal education required (basic literacy preferred)
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long hours
