Job Title: Art Teacher
Job Summary:
The Art Teacher is responsible for developing students’ creativity, artistic skills, and appreciation for visual arts. The role involves teaching various art techniques, encouraging self-expression, and creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver art lessons aligned with the school curriculum
- Teach a variety of art forms such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and craft
- Introduce students to art history, styles, and famous artists (age-appropriate)
- Encourage creativity, imagination, and individual expression
- Prepare and organize art materials and maintain classroom resources
- Assess and evaluate students’ work and progress
- Display student artwork in classrooms or exhibitions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized art room
- Support school events, competitions, and art exhibitions
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into cross-curricular activities
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field
- Teaching certification as required by local regulations
- Strong artistic skills and knowledge of various techniques and mediums
- Creativity and ability to inspire students
- Good classroom management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience in schools
