Job Title: Primary Homeroom Teacher
Job Summary:
The Primary Homeroom Teacher is responsible for managing a single class of young learners, delivering core subjects, and supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development. This role emphasizes creating a nurturing, engaging, and structured classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons in core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
- Create a positive, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment
- Act as the main point of contact for students and parents
- Monitor and assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations
- Provide individualized support to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain classroom discipline using age-appropriate strategies
- Organize and manage classroom activities, events, and routines
- Prepare report cards and maintain accurate student records
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student development and concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and school staff
- Support students’ emotional well-being and social skills development
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant field (B.Ed. preferred/required)
- Teaching certification as per local regulations
- Strong understanding of primary-level curriculum and child development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Creativity and ability to engage young learners
- Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude
- Good classroom management and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
