Job Title: Fabricator / Fitter
Job Summary:
Fabricators and Fitters are responsible for manufacturing, assembling, installing, and repairing metal structures, equipment, and components based on technical drawings and specifications. They ensure accuracy, quality, and safety in all fabrication and fitting works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape metal materials using hand tools and machines
- Assemble and fit metal parts, structures, and components
- Perform welding, grinding, drilling, and finishing works (as required)
- Install fabricated components at site or workshop
- Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and structural integrity
- Repair or modify existing metal structures and equipment
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area
- Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI / Trade Certificate in Fitter, Fabrication, or related field
- Proven experience in fabrication and fitting works
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Knowledge of fabrication tools, machinery, and techniques
- Basic welding and metalworking skills
- Good physical fitness and manual dexterity
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of different metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel)
- Familiarity with safety standards and workshop practices
