Job Title: HVAC Technician (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning)
Job Summary:
An HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The role ensures optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with safety and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioners, chillers, ventilation units, and ducting
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and inspecting components
- Diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting and repairs
- Read and interpret HVAC drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
- Install and maintain ductwork, insulation, and piping systems
- Test and commission HVAC systems to ensure proper functioning
- Monitor system performance and suggest improvements for efficiency
- Ensure proper handling of refrigerants and compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain service records and daily work reports
- Coordinate with supervisors and other technicians on-site
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- ITI / Diploma in HVAC, Mechanical, or related field
- Proven experience as an HVAC Technician or similar role
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, components, and tools
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Physical fitness for fieldwork
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in construction, facility management, or industrial maintenance
- Knowledge of split AC, VRF/VRV systems, chillers, and AHUs
- Certification in HVAC or refrigeration systems
- Familiarity with safety standards and environmental regulations
