Job Title: MEP Team Leader (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing)
Job Summary:
The MEP Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on a project site. This role ensures that MEP systems are designed, installed, and maintained efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the MEP team, including engineers, supervisors, and technicians
- Plan, schedule, and oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
- Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for accuracy and feasibility
- Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other engineering teams to avoid conflicts
- Ensure all MEP works comply with local regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Monitor project progress and prepare regular status reports
- Resolve technical issues and provide on-site guidance to the team
- Manage subcontractors and vendors related to MEP works
- Ensure proper documentation, including as-built drawings and operation manuals
- Implement quality control procedures and inspections
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Proven experience in MEP works, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in large-scale construction projects (commercial, residential, or industrial)
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Certification in safety or project management is an advantage
