Job Title: Hydraulic Mechanic
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Mechanic to install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of hydraulic components and be able to troubleshoot issues efficiently to ensure smooth operation of machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair hydraulic systems and components.
- Maintain and service hydraulic equipment such as pumps, cylinders, valves, and motors.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics and technical drawings.
- Identify faults and perform troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Replace defective parts and ensure proper system functionality.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and inspections.
- Test hydraulic systems for performance and safety compliance.
- Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and parts usage.
- Follow safety procedures and industry standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience as a hydraulic mechanic or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments.
- Basic knowledge of tools, machinery, and workshop practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with heavy equipment, construction machinery, or industrial systems.
- Welding or fabrication skills (an advantage).
- Familiarity with pneumatic systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Work may be in workshops, construction sites, or industrial facilities.
- Exposure to noise, grease, and heavy machinery.
