Job Title: Structural Fabricator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Fabricator to manufacture, assemble, and install metal structures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in metal fabrication, cutting, shaping, and welding structural steel to ensure durability and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details.
- Cut, shape, and assemble structural steel and metal components.
- Perform welding, grinding, drilling, and fitting operations.
- Measure and mark materials to ensure precise fabrication.
- Assemble and fit structural components such as beams, columns, and frames.
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
- Repair or modify structures as required.
- Operate fabrication tools and machinery safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow safety standards and company procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in fabrication, welding, or mechanical field.
- Proven experience as a structural fabricator or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Skilled in welding and use of fabrication tools.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in construction, shipbuilding, or industrial projects.
- Knowledge of different welding processes (MIG, TIG, ARC).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
Working Conditions:
- Work in fabrication shops, construction sites, or industrial facilities.
- Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and heavy equipment.
- May require overtime and working at heights depending on project needs.
