Job Title: Mobile Crane Operator
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Mobile Crane Operator to lift, move, and position heavy materials using mobile cranes. The ideal candidate will have experience operating different types of cranes and a strong understanding of load handling, safety procedures, and site coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and place materials as per project requirements.
- Inspect crane equipment before and after use to ensure safe operation.
- Read and understand load charts, lift plans, and site instructions.
- Ensure loads are properly secured and balanced before lifting.
- Coordinate with riggers, signalers, and site supervisors during operations.
- Follow all safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor weather conditions and stop operations if unsafe.
- Perform routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain daily logs of operations and inspections.
Requirements:
- Valid Mobile Crane Operator License/Certification.
- Proven experience operating mobile cranes (e.g., telescopic, crawler, truck-mounted).
- Strong knowledge of crane load charts and lifting techniques.
- Understanding of safety standards and regulations.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in demanding environments.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in construction, oil & gas, or heavy industry projects.
- Certification in rigging or lifting operations (advantage).
- Familiarity with site safety systems and risk assessments.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting.
Working Conditions:
- Work on construction sites, industrial facilities, or outdoor environments.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and heights.
- May require long hours, shift work, or remote site assignments.
