Job Title: MIG Welder (Metal Inert Gas Welder)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team and perform high-quality welding on metal components. The candidate will be responsible for fabricating and repairing structures using MIG welding techniques while ensuring safety, accuracy, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal surfaces.
- Set up and operate welding machines and related equipment.
- Inspect welded joints to ensure strength and quality.
- Repair defective welds and perform rework when necessary.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good condition.
- Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or technical certification in welding.
- Proven experience as a MIG welder or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of MIG welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy materials.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Welding certification (e.g., AWS or equivalent).
- Experience with other welding methods (TIG, ARC).
- Basic fabrication and metalworking skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Working Conditions:
