Position Title
Piping Superintendent (Construction / Oil & Gas / Industrial Projects)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to supervise, coordinate, and manage all site piping installation activities in industrial and construction projects. The role ensures that piping works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, drawings, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all piping fabrication and installation activities on site.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Plan daily, weekly, and long-term piping work schedules in coordination with project management.
- Monitor progress and productivity of piping crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a strong HSE culture on site.
- Conduct inspections of piping works including fit-up, welding, alignment, and testing.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, and documentation (e.g., hydrotesting, NDT).
- Resolve site-related technical issues and coordinate with engineers for solutions.
- Ensure proper material handling, storage, and usage on site.
- Maintain daily reports on progress, manpower, and site activities.
- Liaise with construction managers, planners, and other discipline superintendents.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Extensive experience in piping construction, fabrication, and installation (industrial/oil & gas projects).
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, codes, and standards (ASME, API, etc.).
- Experience in supervising large construction teams and subcontractors.
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures and safety regulations.
