🧾 Job Summary
The HSE Officer is responsible for ensuring that all site activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. The role focuses on preventing accidents, promoting safe work practices, and ensuring compliance with company and legal safety standards.
📌 Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE rules and procedures.
- Conduct site safety inspections and audits regularly.
- Identify hazards and unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure workers use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) properly.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety inductions for site workers.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare reports.
- Maintain HSE documentation, logs, and compliance reports.
- Ensure emergency procedures (fire safety, evacuation plans) are in place.
- Coordinate with site engineers and project managers on safety issues.
- Monitor lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, and high-risk activities.
- Ensure compliance with UAE / local safety regulations and client requirements.
🧠 Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- NEBOSH IGC (commonly required in UAE/GCC).
- 1–5 years of experience (varies by role level).
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices.
