Job Description: NOC Engineer / Authority Approvals Engineer
Job Summary
The NOC Engineer / Authority Approvals Engineer is responsible for obtaining all necessary No Objection Certificates (NOCs), permits, and statutory approvals from government authorities and utility providers to ensure timely execution of projects. The role involves coordinating with regulatory agencies, preparing technical documentation, tracking approval status, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit NOC and permit applications to relevant authorities.
- Coordinate with government departments, municipalities, utility providers, and regulatory agencies for project approvals.
- Liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams to collect required technical documents and drawings.
- Track approval progress and follow up with authorities to ensure timely issuance of permits.
- Ensure project documentation complies with local regulations, building codes, and authority requirements.
- Maintain records of approvals, permits, correspondence, and submission logs.
- Attend meetings with clients and government authorities regarding project approvals.
- Resolve comments or observations raised by approving authorities.
- Support project planning by identifying approval requirements and associated timelines.
- Monitor changes in authority regulations and ensure project compliance.
- Prepare regular status reports on approvals and permits for project management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2–8 years of experience in authority approvals, NOC coordination, or engineering project approvals.
- Experience working with government authorities, municipalities, and utility agencies.
- Knowledge of local construction regulations, permitting processes, and engineering standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering drawings is an advantage.
