Senior HR Executive / Assistant HR Manager
Job Summary
The Senior HR Executive / Assistant HR Manager is responsible for supporting and managing key Human Resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, policy implementation, and HR compliance. The role partners with department heads to align HR initiatives with business objectives while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices in line with organizational objectives and applicable labor laws.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution.
- Coordinate and oversee employee onboarding, probation reviews, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and offboarding processes.
- Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and development planning.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee learning and development programs.
- Administer compensation, benefits, leave, attendance, and payroll inputs in collaboration with the finance team.
- Monitor employee engagement initiatives and organize wellness, recognition, and team-building activities.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and HR information systems (HRIS).
- Prepare HR reports and analytics related to recruitment, turnover, absenteeism, training, and workforce metrics.
- Support HR budgeting, manpower planning, and succession planning initiatives.
- Participate in internal and external HR audits and implement corrective actions where required.
- Mentor and provide guidance to HR Assistants and junior HR team members.
- Assist the HR Manager in executing strategic HR initiatives and organizational development programs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist or business partnering role.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR, CIPD, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems.
