Job Title: Procurement Executive
Job Description:
A Procurement Executive is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of goods and services required by the organization. The role involves identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating contracts, monitoring inventory requirements, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining cost-effective procurement practices while complying with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and service standards.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with vendors.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and procurement documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods and services to meet operational requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Track supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or contractual obligations.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, budgets, and applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with finance, warehouse, logistics, and user departments to facilitate smooth procurement operations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, contracts, and purchase histories.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing, and supply chain developments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
- Professional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
