Job Summary
A Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service by taking food and beverage orders, serving meals, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Present menus and explain menu items, specials, and promotions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
- Check on guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Prepare and present bills, process payments, and provide receipts.
- Set up, clean, and reset tables before and after service.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area according to health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Handle customer complaints politely and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including stocking supplies and cleaning work areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service is an advantage but not always required.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
