Job Summary
The Storekeeper – Spare Parts is responsible for managing the storage, inventory, and distribution of heavy truck spare parts. The role ensures accurate stock control, proper documentation, timely availability of parts, and efficient coordination with service and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming heavy truck spare parts and materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and stock movement documentation.
- Issue spare parts to workshop technicians and service teams according to approved requests.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare replenishment requests when required.
- Organize spare parts storage areas to ensure easy identification and access.
- Perform regular stock checks, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain proper labeling, classification, and storage of parts.
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and specifications before receiving or issuing items.
- Coordinate with suppliers, purchasing teams, and workshop departments.
- Track fast-moving, slow-moving, and critical spare parts.
- Ensure proper handling and storage conditions to prevent damage or loss.
- Prepare inventory reports and maintain accurate records.
- Follow company procedures for safety, security, and warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Automotive, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience as a Storekeeper or Parts Controller in heavy trucks or automotive industry.
- Experience with spare parts for brands such as Mercedes, Volvo, MAN, or similar is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive spare parts identification and inventory management.
- Experience using inventory management systems is an advantage.

- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Basic computer skills and experience with ERP/inventory systems.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position in a heavy truck workshop or logistics environment.
- Requires handling of spare parts, stock checks, and warehouse activities.
- May involve physical activity, including lifting and moving parts.
