Job Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the quality of maintenance and repair work performed on heavy trucks. The role ensures that vehicles meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety requirements before delivery to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect completed repair and maintenance work on heavy trucks to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform quality checks on mechanical, electrical, and technical repairs.
- Verify that repairs are completed according to manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, testing, and final quality assessments before customer delivery.
- Identify defects, errors, or incomplete work and coordinate corrective actions with technicians.
- Prepare quality inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety, technical, and operational standards.
- Monitor workshop processes to improve service quality and reduce repeat repairs.
- Work closely with Service Advisors, technicians, and workshop management.
- Review repair orders and confirm completion of required jobs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
- Ensure proper use of diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in quality control, inspection, or workshop operations for heavy trucks.
- Experience with heavy truck brands such as Mercedes, Volvo, MAN, or similar is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, repair procedures, and diagnostics.
- Experience in commercial vehicle workshops is an advantage.

Working Conditions
- Full-time position in a heavy truck service and maintenance environment.
- Requires regular inspection of vehicles and coordination with workshop teams.
- May involve working in workshop conditions and handling technical equipment.
