Role Summary
The Heavy Trailer Driver is responsible for safely operating articulated trucks and trailers to transport goods, machinery, or materials over short and long distances. The role ensures timely deliveries, compliance with road safety regulations, and proper handling of cargo.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy trailer trucks (articulated vehicles) safely and efficiently.
- Transport goods and materials between warehouses, ports, construction sites, or client locations.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo according to safety standards when required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure compliance with traffic laws, transport regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain delivery records, logs, and necessary documentation.
- Monitor vehicle condition and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with logistics coordinators, dispatchers, and warehouse staff.
- Ensure proper handling and safety of goods during transit.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid heavy trailer driving license (as per local country regulations).
- Proven experience operating articulated trucks or heavy trailers.
- Strong knowledge of road safety rules and transport regulations.
- Ability to read maps or use GPS navigation systems.
- Physically fit and capable of handling loading/unloading tasks if required.
- Clean driving record preferred.

- Experience in logistics, construction, freight, oil & gas, or industrial transport sectors.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
