Job Description – Site Manager (Construction)
Position: Site Manager
Job Summary:
The Site Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day construction activities at the project site, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily site operations and supervise construction activities.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
- Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and report updates to the Project Manager.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality standards and resolve technical issues.
- Plan and allocate labor, materials, equipment, and other site resources efficiently.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, and local authorities when required.
- Maintain site records, including daily reports, material logs, and inspection records.
- Identify risks, resolve site issues promptly, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones while maintaining quality and safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Typically 7–12 years of construction experience, including several years in site supervision or site management.
- Experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, drawings, and project specifications.

Reporting To
Working Environment
- Primarily based at construction sites.
- May require extended working hours and travel between project locations depending on project requirements.
