Job Description – Foreman (Construction)
Position: Foreman
Job Summary:
The Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily construction activities at the worksite, ensuring that tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project drawings, specifications, quality standards, and schedules. The role involves managing workers, coordinating resources, and reporting progress to site management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead workers, subcontractors, and site crews during daily construction activities.
- Allocate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment according to work requirements.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Ensure construction activities are executed according to approved plans and quality standards.
- Monitor daily work progress and report updates to the Site Manager or Engineer.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to resolve technical and operational issues.
- Ensure workers follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site regulations.
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and promote safe working practices.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Report material shortages, equipment issues, and site challenges.
- Maintain daily records of manpower, work activities, and site conditions.
- Support inspections by consultants, engineers, and quality control teams.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and organization of the work area.
Qualifications
- Diploma or technical qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related construction field.
- Typically 5–10 years of experience as a Foreman in construction projects.
- Experience in supervising construction crews and site activities.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials.

Working Environment
- Primarily based at construction sites.
- Requires daily supervision of workers, coordination with project teams, and monitoring of construction activities under varying site conditions.
