Job Description – Site Engineer (Construction)
Position: Site Engineer
Job Summary:
The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on-site, ensuring that work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules while maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with project plans, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and the site team.
- Monitor work progress and report project status to the Site Manager or Project Manager.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction.
- Prepare daily progress reports, work schedules, and site documentation.
- Verify measurements, quantities, and material usage.
- Assist in planning manpower, equipment, and material requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, project specifications, and contract requirements.
- Participate in inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Support quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline (depending on the project).
- Typically 2–8 years of relevant construction site experience.
- Experience with commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects is preferred.

Reporting To
- Site Manager / Project Manager
Working Environment
- Primarily based at construction sites.
- May require travel between project locations and flexibility in working hours depending on project demands.
