Job Description: Engineering & Planning Officer
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineering & Planning Officer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects. The successful candidate will develop project schedules, monitor progress, optimize resource utilization, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and work programs.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, procurement, and operations teams to ensure project milestones are achieved.
- Monitor project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
- Analyze project performance, identify delays, and recommend corrective actions.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Assist in project budgeting, cost tracking, and resource planning.
- Support project risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate material requirements and monitor procurement schedules.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reports.
- Participate in project meetings and provide planning updates to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in engineering planning, project coordination, or project management.
- Knowledge of project planning methodologies and engineering processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project planning software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project schedules.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
