Job Description: Public Relations Officer (PRO)
Job Summary:
The Public Relations Officer develops and implements communication strategies that enhance the organization's reputation. The role involves coordinating with media, organizing events, handling public inquiries, and ensuring effective communication between the organization and its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement public relations and communication strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with media representatives and other stakeholders.
- Prepare press releases, newsletters, speeches, and other communication materials.
- Organize press conferences, public events, and promotional campaigns.
- Respond to media inquiries and manage public communications.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public perception.
- Handle crisis communication and protect the organization's reputation.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging.
- Manage the organization's social media presence and public announcements, where applicable.
- Represent the organization at meetings, exhibitions, and community events.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media relations is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
