Job Title: Warehouse Assistant
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant supports daily warehouse operations by receiving, storing, organizing, and dispatching goods efficiently and accurately. This role helps maintain inventory accuracy, ensures a safe and organized warehouse environment, and assists in meeting operational and customer delivery requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
- Verify goods received against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Store products in designated warehouse locations following company procedures.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or computerized systems.
- Label, organize, and arrange stock for easy identification and access.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Report damaged, missing, or defective goods to the supervisor.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (where licensed and authorized).
- Follow company policies on health, safety, and security.
- Assist with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage but not essential.
- Forklift certification or license is preferred (where applicable).
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems are an advantage.
