Job Description – Business Development Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic, target-oriented, and results-driven Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and drive revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development, sales, lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management. The role requires strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and strategic thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, markets, and potential clients.
- Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, email campaigns, social media, events, and other channels.
- Research market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
- Convert qualified leads into new business opportunities and long-term clients.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Understand client requirements and propose suitable products or services.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, product demonstrations, and business discussions.
- Maintain regular communication with key clients and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Address client concerns and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
Sales & Revenue Management
- Develop proposals, quotations, presentations, and commercial offers.
- Lead negotiations with clients and close deals within approved commercial guidelines.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular pipeline and revenue reports.
- Track opportunities from initial contact through negotiation, closure, and onboarding.
Market Expansion
- Identify new markets, customer segments, partnerships, and distribution opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships that support business growth.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Represent the company professionally in meetings and external business forums.
- Monitor competitor offerings and recommend strategies to maintain a competitive advantage.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing teams on lead-generation campaigns and promotional activities.
- Coordinate with operations, finance, product, and customer-service teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and delivery.
- Provide customer and market feedback to management and relevant internal teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of CRM and sales records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales or revenue targets.
- Strong lead-generation and client-acquisition skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Ability to build relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and business development activities when required.

- Experience in B2B sales and business development.
- Existing network of industry contacts is an advantage.
- Experience in consultative selling and solution-based sales.
- Strong knowledge of CRM and sales pipeline management.
