Job Description: Relationship Manager – Private Banking / Wealth Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Relationship Manager – Private Banking / Wealth Manager to manage and grow relationships with High Net-Worth Individuals (HNIs), Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNIs), entrepreneurs, business owners, and affluent clients.
The role involves understanding clients' financial goals, providing customized investment and wealth-management solutions, acquiring new clients, deepening existing relationships, and achieving revenue and AUM targets while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of HNI/UHNI and affluent clients.
- Build long-term relationships by understanding clients' financial objectives, risk profiles, liquidity requirements, and investment preferences.
- Acquire new clients through referrals, networking, professional relationships, market mapping, and other business-development initiatives.
- Grow Assets Under Management (AUM) and achieve assigned revenue, acquisition, and portfolio-growth targets.
- Provide clients with appropriate investment and wealth-management solutions across:
- Mutual funds and portfolio management services
- Equities and fixed-income products
- Bonds and structured products
- Alternative investments
- Insurance and estate-planning solutions
- Deposits and lending solutions
- Develop and present customized wealth-management and investment proposals.
- Monitor client portfolios and proactively identify opportunities for rebalancing or additional investments.
- Coordinate with investment specialists, product teams, research teams, lending teams, and other internal stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
- Maintain regular client reviews and provide market/investment updates.
- Ensure complete adherence to KYC, AML, regulatory, risk-management, and internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate client records, documentation, pipeline reports, and MIS.
- Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities based on client needs.
- Stay updated on financial markets, investment products, economic developments, and regulatory changes.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA/PGDM or relevant financial certifications are preferred.
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in private banking, wealth management, investment advisory, affluent banking, or relationship management.
- Proven experience managing HNI/UHNI client relationships and investment portfolios.
- Strong understanding of investment products and financial markets.
- Demonstrated ability to acquire clients and generate AUM/revenue.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking abilities.
- Client-centric approach with strong ethical and professional standards.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
