Site Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Site Manager to oversee daily operations at the project site and ensure that work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to quality standards. The Site Manager will coordinate site activities, supervise workers and subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day activities at the project/site.
- Plan and coordinate site operations, manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Ensure projects are completed according to approved drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
- Supervise site staff, workers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor daily work progress and prepare regular site reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure availability and proper utilization of materials, tools, equipment, and manpower.
- Monitor project schedules and take corrective action to avoid delays.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential safety, quality, and operational issues.
- Maintain proper site documentation, records, permits, and inspection reports.
- Review drawings, specifications, and work instructions and coordinate with relevant teams regarding technical issues.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure corrective actions are completed when required.
- Manage site-related problems and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
- Control site wastage and support cost-effective project execution.
- Conduct toolbox meetings and ensure workers follow safety procedures.
- Provide regular updates to management regarding project progress, manpower, materials, quality, safety, and site issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant site/project experience, preferably in construction or contracting.
- Strong knowledge of site operations, construction procedures, and project coordination.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good planning and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of project management or construction software is an advantage.
- Valid driving license may be required depending on the project location.
