Job Summary:
The Static/Rotating Equipment Engineer is responsible for the technical integrity, reliability, and performance of all mechanical equipment within an operational facility. This includes leading a team to implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, troubleshoot failures, and manage equipment lifecycle activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and supervision to a team of technicians and supervisors in the maintenance of static (vessels, heat exchangers, boilers) and rotating (pumps, compressors, turbines, generators) equipment.
- Develop, review, and optimize Preventive Maintenance (PM) programs and procedures to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA) for critical equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Review and approve equipment specifications for new projects, modifications, and repair orders.
- Oversee major equipment overhauls, installations, and commissioning activities.
- Manage spare parts strategy, ensuring critical spares are identified and available.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE standards and equipment-specific regulatory requirements.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in the Operation & Maintenance of industrial equipment within the Oil & Gas or related heavy industry.
- Leadership: At least 5 years of proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a maintenance team.
- Technical Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of equipment design, failure modes, condition monitoring, and repair techniques for both static and rotating equipment.
