Door Man (Door Attendant)

Job Summary:
The Door Man is the first point of physical contact for guests, setting the tone for their entire stay. This role is responsible for providing a grand, welcoming arrival and departure experience, managing the flow of traffic at the hotel entrance, and offering gracious, personalized service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grand Welcome/Farewell: Greet all guests and visitors upon arrival and departure with a warm, professional, and dignified demeanor. Open vehicle doors and assist with alighting.
- Traffic & Queue Management: Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic at the hotel entrance to ensure safety and smooth flow, especially during peak times.
- Luggage Coordination: Coordinate immediately with Bell Attendants to tag and transport luggage from the curb to the lobby.
- Valet Coordination: Act as the liaison between arriving guests and the valet service, issuing valet tickets and calling for vehicles upon departure.
- Concierge Assistance: Provide basic concierge services such as hailing taxis, giving simple directions, and offering information about weather or immediate local services.
- Lobby Ambiance: Maintain the cleanliness and order of the entrance area, including doors, carpets, and signage. Manage the appearance of the porte-cochère.
- Security Awareness: Serve as an observant presence at the entrance, monitoring activity and reporting any suspicious behavior to security or management.

- Impeccable personal presentation, grooming, and demeanor.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a flair for creating memorable interactions.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional under pressure.
- Keen observation skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Previous experience in a luxury hotel, high-end retail, or similar role is highly desirable.
