Job Summary:
The Room Service Waiter/Waitress delivers a luxurious and discreet dining experience directly to guest rooms and suites. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, impeccable presentation, and a thorough understanding of etiquette to maintain the privacy and comfort of guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Delivery: Accurately assemble, deliver, and present all room service orders according to hotel standards, including proper setup on tables or room service trolleys.
- Service Etiquette: Execute professional in-room service sequences (knocking, greeting, presenting courses, explaining items) with discretion and poise.
- Order Accuracy: Double-check all orders for accuracy, completeness, and presentation before delivery.
- Billing & POS: Process guest charges accurately via the mobile POS system upon delivery.
- Post-Service: Retrieve trays and trolleys from rooms promptly and discreetly. Ensure the room service pantry and staging areas are clean and organized.
- Guest Interaction: Provide a personalized touch, anticipate guest needs, and handle any special requests or setup requirements (e.g., anniversaries).
- Teamwork: Coordinate closely with the kitchen, order taker, and concierge to ensure timely delivery.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience as a Waiter/Waitress, preferably in room service, fine dining, or a 5-star hotel.
- Impeccable personal presentation, hygiene, and manners.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and maintain guest confidentiality.
- Physical stamina to carry trays and trolleys.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a significant advantage for direct guest communication.
- Knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
