Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Core FO Service Engineer with over 3 years of experience to join our dynamic Network Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our core network through proactive monitoring, timely troubleshooting, and effective change management. This role requires flexibility for rotating shifts and a strong commitment to maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Monitoring & Incident Management:
- Monitor the core network infrastructure 24/7 for performance and faults.
- Create, handle, and close trouble tickets following defined SLAs.
- Perform L0/L1 fault diagnosis, initial troubleshooting, and escalate to higher-level teams as required.
- Change & Release Management:
- Execute change requests related to core network elements, including implementation and post-verification.
- Ensure minimal disruption to services during maintenance activities.
- Problem Management:
- Trigger and support problem management processes for recurring or critical issues to improve network stability.
- Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare and submit detailed shift reports.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Process Improvement:
- Contribute to the development and optimization of operational procedures and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science) or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a network operations role, preferably in telecom or ISP environments.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of Core Network technologies (e.g., IP/MPLS, 4G/5G, VoIP, IMS, SS7, Diameter).
- Familiarity with NOC tools, ticketing systems, and network monitoring platforms.
- Communication:
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage.
