Transportation Tracker
Job Title: Transportation Tracker / Fleet Monitor (Saudi National)
Reports To: Logistics Manager or Dispatcher Supervisor

Position Overview:
The Transportation Tracker is responsible for the continuous surveillance and monitoring of fleet vehicles using GPS and telematics systems. This role focuses on ensuring route adherence, security, efficiency, and providing data-driven insights to optimize fleet performance. The tracker acts as the "eye in the sky" for the operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Real-Time Vehicle Monitoring: Constantly monitor the live location, status, and movement of all fleet vehicles using GPS tracking software.
- Route Adherence & Deviation Alerts: Track vehicles against planned routes. Identify and report unauthorized stops, route deviations, or geo-fence breaches immediately.
- Performance Data Analysis: Monitor telematics data including speed, idling time, fuel consumption, and harsh driving events (hard braking, rapid acceleration). Flag inefficiencies or unsafe practices.
- Security & Theft Prevention: Monitor for unusual after-hours movement or unauthorized use of vehicles. Act as first responder in anti-theft protocols.
- Reporting & Communication: Generate daily and weekly reports on fleet metrics (on-time performance, mileage, stoppage times). Provide real-time updates to dispatchers and customer service teams.
- Support for Planning: Analyze historical tracking data to identify recurring delays, inefficient routes, or potential schedule improvements.
- Maintenance Alerts: Monitor and report vehicle diagnostics and maintenance alerts generated by the telematics system to the maintenance department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Nationality: Saudi National.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fleet tracking, logistics monitoring, or a similar control room role.
- Technical Skills: High proficiency with GPS fleet tracking software (e.g., Samsara, Verizon Connect, Fleetio, or local equivalents), telematics platforms, and Excel for data analysis.
- Soft Skills:
- Keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Ability to focus for extended periods on multiple data streams.
- Proactive communication style to alert teams to issues.
- Basic problem-solving skills to interpret data trends.
- Knowledge: Understanding of KPI measurement in transportation. Knowledge of Saudi road networks is essential.
