About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, and contributing to the financial health and efficiency of our business. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including daily bookkeeping and reconciliations.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including filing returns and preparing FTA Audit Files (FAF).
- Prepare and submit UAE Corporate Tax returns (knowledge/experience is an advantage).
- Generate periodic financial reports for management review.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Utilize Tally accounting software for all accounting entries, reporting, and financial data management.
- Handle VAT setup, issue VAT-compliant invoices, and prepare FTA reports as required.
- Ensure adherence to UAE accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Manage deadlines effectively and prioritize tasks to meet reporting and compliance timelines.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills in managing financial documents and records.
- Communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally, with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the travel/tourism industry.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations, filing procedures, and FTA Audit Files (FAF).
- Familiarity with UAE Corporate Tax is an advantage.
- Mandatory proficiency in Tally accounting software.
- Experience with VAT setup, VAT invoices, and FTA reporting.
- Solid understanding of the UAE accounting system and statutory compliance requirements.
- High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage tight deadlines.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
