Job Title: Installation In-Charge
Job Summary
The Installation In-Charge is responsible for planning, supervising, and managing all installation activities at project sites. The role ensures that installations are completed safely, on time, within budget, and as per technical specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Installation Planning & Execution
- Plan and schedule installation activities as per project requirements
- Ensure smooth execution of installation works at site
- Coordinate with project managers and site engineers for work allocation
- Monitor daily installation progress and resolve issues
Site Supervision
- Supervise installation teams, technicians, and subcontractors
- Ensure proper use of tools, equipment, and materials
- Verify installation work as per drawings and specifications
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and accuracy
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Coordinate material delivery and availability at site
- Report progress, delays, and site issues to management
- Attend site meetings and provide technical inputs
Quality Control
- Ensure installations meet quality standards and project specifications
- Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Conduct testing and commissioning activities where required
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for site teams
- Identify hazards and enforce preventive measures
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain installation records and site reports
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports
- Document inspections, testing, and commissioning reports
Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil or related field)
Experience
- 3–8 years of experience in installation or site execution roles
Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of installation procedures
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Leadership and team supervision skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and coordination skills
