Job Title: Director of Nursing (PIC – Person in Charge)
Job Summary
The Director of Nursing (PIC) is responsible for overseeing all nursing operations within a healthcare facility. This role ensures high standards of patient care, compliance with healthcare regulations, and effective management of nursing staff. As the Person in Charge (PIC), they are accountable for clinical leadership, patient safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all nursing staff and clinical teams
- Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and safety standards
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
- Oversee patient care plans and clinical outcomes
- Handle patient or family concerns and resolve issues effectively
- Coordinate with doctors, administrators, and other departments
- Manage budgets, resources, and medical supplies
- Conduct staff training, evaluations, and performance reviews
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license (mandatory)
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN); Master’s degree preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- In-depth knowledge of clinical practices and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication and decision-making abilities
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
Working Conditions
