Job Summary
A Dermatologist is a medical doctor who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions related to the skin, hair, and nails. They manage a wide range of issues, from common skin conditions to complex diseases and cosmetic concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients’ skin, hair, and nails
- Diagnose and treat conditions such as:
- Acne, eczema, and psoriasis
- Skin infections and allergies
- Skin cancer and precancerous conditions
- Perform diagnostic procedures like:
- Skin biopsies
- Dermatoscopic examinations
- Prescribe medications (topical and systemic treatments)
- Perform minor surgical procedures, including:
- Mole removal
- Wart removal
- Cryotherapy
- Provide cosmetic treatments such as:
- Chemical peels
- Laser therapy
- Botox and fillers (if trained)
- Educate patients on skincare, hygiene, and disease prevention
- Maintain patient records and monitor treatment progress
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when needed
Required Qualifications
- MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)
- MD/DNB in Dermatology (or equivalent specialization)
- Valid medical license
- Additional certification in cosmetic dermatology (optional but beneficial)

- Strong knowledge of dermatological conditions
- Excellent diagnostic skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and patient counseling skills
